Old Sealey Elementary Now in the Florida Archives

Facebook has again helped bring a bit of my past to the present. In scanning a Facebook Group, "You know you are from Tallahassee If,.., " I ran across a link posted by one of the members and it made my day! 

My grandmother, Edith Cox, taught at Sealey Elementary, fourth grade for 35 years! This post has a picture of one of her classes from 1957-1958 and I was able to catch a glimpse of her standing in the rear of her classroom with some kids,.. who I recognize even now!

Do you recognize anyone here, or in any of the other pictures on this site? Old Sealey Elementary Schoool in Tallahassee?

I remember the Old Sealey,.. visiting my grandmother in her classroom, and heading out to Mutt and Jeffs for a "Black Cow" and a slaw dog. Those were the days! Takes me back to "Tallahassee, as far back as I can remember."

I think I want to go back, dig out the photo albumns and donate a few, don't you?
